Beach season is on the way! In Crimea, the safety of holidaymakers will be ensured by 1,344 rescue sailors

As of today, 371 beaches have been declared and are functioning in Crimea. At the same time, it is planned to open an additional 18 beaches. The Ministry of Emergency Situations announced the readiness for the beach season. The safety of vacationers is provided by 1,344 rescue sailors.

Preparations for the holiday season of 2023 at the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea began long before the onset of summer, namely in November last year. This is the nature of the work. It includes a wide range of organizational and practical measures aimed at ensuring the safety of residents and guests of the peninsula at water bodies, coastal areas during the holiday season.

One of the priority areas of this work is the preparation of beaches. In addition to cleaning the bottom within the boundaries of the swim, specialists from the KRYM-SPAS emergency rescue service, employees of the State Inspectorate for Small Boats of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Republic of Crimea, check compliance with all necessary safety requirements for beach tenants, including the availability of special life shields with means to help the drowning. In addition, the water user must organize the duty of rescue sailors and medical personnel on the beach to prevent accidents and provide assistance.— said in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea.

It is emphasized that throughout the summer season, GIMS inspectors of the EMERCOM of Russia during preventive visits will check compliance with all safety requirements by beach tenants. Special attention will be paid to vacationers. Explanatory work will be carried out with them about the need to comply with the rules of safe behavior near the water.
