Otabek Mukhammadalievich Umarov was born on May 15, 1984 in the city of Kokand of the Ferghana region of the Uzbek SSR. In the same year he entered the faculty of management of the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Slight Industry, completed his studies in 2005 with a diploma in the direction of «Management».

An important area of ​​activity of O. Umarov was also the promotion of mixed martial arts. In 2019, he headed the created association of mixed martial arts of Uzbekistan. On his initiative in Tashkent, the first official tournament in MMA was held in the history of the country, which became an important milestone in the development of combat disciplines.
