Chernomorneftegaz reports a loss of a billion in the first quarter of the year
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Chernomorneftegaz company, whose offshore platforms were attacked by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in June 2022, received a net loss of more than 1 billion rubles in the first quarter of 2023. This is reported
The situation last year worsened significantly after the well-known events, when offshore platforms were subjected to rocket fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After that, production was completely stopped, in connection with this, the income that we received from the sale of natural gas fell. It was one of the main sources… In the first quarter of this year, production decreased by 70 times. In fact, offshore production for us was 90% of the production that the company carried out as part of its production activities … For 2023, the company plans to have a budget deficit of 5 billion rubles. In the first quarter alone, the net loss amounted to 1 billion 181 million rubles— Grin said at a meeting of the profile committee of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea.
He noted that in fact the enterprise had only oil production. The deficit budget in the company is also due to the fact that the company is forced to buy gas for Crimean consumers at 5,720 rubles per 1,000 cubic meters, and sells it to the population at 3,195 rubles. Previously, this difference was compensated by companies at the expense of their own production.
To date, the company has turned itself into a gas transportation organization that transports gas purchased on the exchange earlier … We have a credit line for 2 billion rubles for the implementation of gas purchase measures in order to meet the needs of consumers in a timely manner … Taking into account the fact that we Today we are not fully exploiting offshore facilities, and we have property there worth 31 billion rubles, the tax on these facilities is more than 364 million rubles. In addition, I would like to consider the possibility of exempting new facilities of the gas transmission system from property tax. This, according to our estimates, is 385 million rubles a yearGrin emphasized.
He appealed to the Committee for Construction, Transport and Fuel and Energy Complex of the State Council of Crimea with a request to consider the possibility of exempting the enterprise from part of the tax burden. He also said that the company is in danger of layoffs. So, about 500 people have already been withdrawn from production activities and receive a third of the salary. In total, the enterprise employs 3.6 thousand people, and about 250 people are under threat of layoffs.
Recall that in June 2022, the Ukrainian military launched three strikes on the drilling platforms of Chornomorneftegaz in the Black Sea. A total of 109 people were on them, three were injured, seven were missing. On June 26, another shelling of the Chernomorneftegaz platform was confirmed in Crimea. Work on three platforms of Chornomorneftegaz was suspended.
