Chicken, eggs and vegetables prices have fallen in Sevastopol

Chicken, eggs and vegetables prices have fallen in Sevastopol

According to the results of weekly monitoring by the Department of Agriculture and the Consumer Market over the past week, a decrease in prices for chicken, eggs, fresh tomatoes, cabbage and onions was recorded in the city.

A slight increase in cost affected fresh cucumbers and potatoes, which is due to seasonality and fluctuations in harvest volumes.

In addition, department specialists continue to work to verify compliance by retail chains with the terms of the memorandum of understanding. In accordance with the agreement between retail trade enterprises and the city government, the markup on socially significant goods is set from 0% to 15%. Today such a check was carried out in the Fresh hypermarket on the street. Vakulenchuka, 20.

Today we checked the availability of all items according to the memorandum in the Fresh hypermarket, the presence of product labeling, the relevance of price tags, and compliance with the terms of the agreement. No violations found— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the consumer market department of the department, Ksenia Kazandzhieva.

Let us remind you that the memorandum of understanding is aimed at preventing unreasonable increases in prices for basic food products. All products participating in the program are highlighted with light blue price tags with the inscription “Memorandum”. A full list of such products is posted in the “shopper’s corner” in each store, which ensures transparency and accessibility of information.

During raids, special attention is paid to marking goods with identification means. Today, 33 product groups are subject to mandatory labeling: food and non-food groups. Using the Honest Sign mobile application, regulatory authorities and buyers themselves can check the authenticity of products, their origin and expiration date. This allows you to avoid purchasing expired or counterfeit goods.
