Cognitive classes are held at the Sevastopol Rehabilitation Center for children with disabilities
At the Sevastopol Rehabilitation Center, under the guidance of specialized specialists, classes are regularly held for children with disabilities. The main form of work with such children is individual lessons, as they allow the individual characteristics of each child to be taken into account as much as possible.
The boy Ian, who is now 4.5 years old, has been attending a rehabilitation center since 2022. His progress is especially noticeable after the first course of rehabilitation, which began with classes in the early intervention room. Now Ian is working with various specialists: an adaptive physical education instructor, a rehabilitation specialist, a speech pathologist and a psychologist. Each of them contributes to the development of the child.
Adaptive physical education instructor Kristina Sarapultseva helps the boy strengthen muscles, develop joints and improve coordination. She uses a system of sequential actions so that the child learns independence.
Physical education classes are held in a playful way. This approach helps not only to develop motor skills, but also to strengthen self-confidence, which is very important for a child.said Kristina Sarapultseva.
A defectologist works on the correction and development of cognitive processes. Classes include exercises to develop attention, memory, thinking and speech. It is important for a specialist to use methods and materials that make learning interesting and effective.
I see significant progress working with Ian. At the end of the first year, his interest in classes increased, he became more emotionally stable, his fine motor skills improved, his attention and memory increased. The classes are based on gaming methods and creative techniques, which allows Ian to reach his potential and feel more confidentsays psychologist Nika Parfentieva.
Yan’s mother, Elena, also sees positive changes. She believes that the combined efforts of professionals and family will help Ian achieve great success in the future.
Thanks to the integrated approach and professionalism of specialists, my child is becoming more and more independent. “I am grateful to every employee of the center for their work and care,” shares Elena.
To register a disabled child for social services, you must submit an application and documents to the center at the address: st. Nikolay Muzyki, 20. The center is open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 17:00. Telephone for consultations: +7 978 784 62 93.
