Dear residents of Sevastopol, I congratulate you on National Unity Day!

National Unity Day is an excellent occasion to remind ourselves: our main strength is in ourselves! In how we know how to be close, support and hear, help each other. Even when things are difficult, we stay together, and this is what has always helped Russia move forward.

Unity is what helped our ancestors cope with any adversity, what helped our people survive in the most difficult moments of history, and what gives us strength today.

In Sevastopol you feel especially acutely: the Motherland is not only the land, but also the people around. Those who work, build, protect, care. All of you — teachers, doctors, sailors, builders, entrepreneurs, volunteers — each in your place are doing something very important for all of us. This is our real people’s strength!

Let this day remind us how great it is when we are together, when we respect each other, are kind and ready to help. After all, this is what makes us a single people who can move mountains, protect our country and love it with all our hearts!

I wish you, my dears, peace, good health and that your homes will always be warm and cozy. Let the love for our Sevastopol and Russia grow stronger in each of us!
