“Conscripts” will not be sent to the NVO zone, and there are no plans for a “second wave” of mobilization
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Vladimir Tsimlyansky, head of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, told about what at the briefing.
Military personnel on conscription (about the fact that spring conscription has begun in the country —
Not a single conscripted serviceman will be sent to the zone of a special military operation. Today, the number of contract servicemen and mobilized servicemen is quite sufficient to solve the tasks assigned to them.Tsimlyansky said.
The spring conscription in 2023 will take place at the usual time — from April 1 to July 15 — and will affect 147,000 Russians aged 18 to 27. At the same time, it is planned to notify recruits for the first time, including in electronic form. At the same time, in the absence of technical feasibility, the notification will be carried out “in the old fashioned way” — by serving subpoenas.
We have taken into account the positive experience gained during the partial mobilization, when citizens, without waiting for a notification, independently expressed a desire to take part in a special operation through the State Services portal and came as volunteers. We are grateful to these citizens for their life position and decision— said the representative of the General Staff.
According to Rear Admiral, there are no plans for a «second wave» of mobilization in the General Staff.
I want to assure you all that the plans of the General Staff do not include a second wave of mobilization. Those who have already been called up for military service, as well as citizens who have voluntarily expressed a desire to participate in the operation, are quite enough to fulfill the assigned tasks. I would like to reassure the conscripts and their parents and remind that all conscripts who have served the established terms of military service will be fired in a timely manner and sent to their places of residence— said Vladimir Tsimlyansky.
What else was discussed at the briefing:
— The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has formed a single electronic database of citizens subject to conscription for the most correct work of conscription commissions.
— The department has increased the network of points for the selection of contract soldiers in connection with the growth of those wishing to enter the service.
— The military registration and enlistment offices put over 700 thousand citizens on military registration in 2023.
