A 12-year-old Angora cat, Bonya, who went missing after an explosion, was found in Sevastopol. Let us remind you that they were looking for the animal for almost a week — since the moment of the emergency in the high-rise building on Pavel Korchagin Street there has been no news about it. The owners searched the entire apartment when it became possible, but the pet was never found. They thought that Bonya ran out into the street, but he was not in the yard of the house either. And when the family was brought a cat similar to him, it turned out that it was actually a cat.

There was a meeting in the courtyard of the house: on my instructions, our deputies met with people and explained how we would proceed. After the meeting, Bonya’s owner Svetlana Nikolaevna, together with the rescue service, went into the apartment — and in the closet she found her Bonya: tired, scared, but alivesaid Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The cat was taken to the veterinary clinic. There he was examined, the necessary tests were taken and the necessary recommendations were given.

Let us remind you that earlier the owners found another cat, the red Maine Coon Zeus, who disappeared during the explosion. He sat huddled under the bathtub for several days. Due to dehydration, veterinarians prescribed him IVs as well as a sedative to help him calm down from the stress.

Let us remind you that an explosion on Pavel Korchagin Street occurred on the night of March 24. Two people died and 12 more were injured. The epicenter of the explosion was the balcony in the apartment on the first floor. The Investigative Committee is investigating a criminal case under the articles “Causing death by negligence” and “Illegal acquisition and storage of an unidentified explosive device.”
