Construction of a new clinic on Molodykh Stroiteley Street is being completed in Sevastopol
As part of the implementation of the national project “Long and Active Life” and the regional project “Modernization of Primary Health Care” in Sevastopol, the construction of a clinic for 400 visits per shift is nearing completion. The facility, located on Molodykh Stroiteley Street, will become a structural unit of City Hospital No. 1 and will serve more than 40 thousand residents of the Gagarinsky district.
Today, finishing work is underway on the building’s façade, where the final architectural fiber cement panels will be installed in the coming days. The commissioning of all engineering systems is at the final stage. All that remains is to place the furniture — a few sofas and chairs — after which the facility will be completely ready for commissioning,” said the site manager of the construction company “Teplostroitservis” Yuri Parfenov.
The new clinic includes 128 equipped rooms: doctors’ offices, diagnostic areas and staff rooms. The building was erected according to an earthquake-resistant design using a monolithic frame and aerated concrete blocks, which ensures high reliability and durability of the structure.
The building has oversized windows, moisture-resistant, non-flammable panels, as well as elevators for people with limited mobility. In addition, the clinic will be completely autonomous in power supply: in the event of a power outage, a 200 kW diesel generator will operate, which will ensure uninterrupted operation of all systems and equipment.
The staff of the new institution is formed in accordance with the expanded schedule. General practitioners, therapists and specialized specialists will work here: a cardiologist, rheumatologist, gastroenterologist, two endocrinologists, a surgeon, a trauma surgeon, an otolaryngologist, a urologist, an ophthalmologist and others.
Compared to the current family medicine outpatient clinic, where 7 therapeutic areas have been formed and 20 thousand patients are served, the new clinic will increase coverage to 20 areas and 40 thousand people, and will also accept some patients from the overloaded clinic No. 2 on the street. Eroshenko.
At the moment we are based in an old building and can receive no more than 100 visitors per day. Once the new clinic is operational, we will have the capacity to see 400 patients per shift, providing the full range of primary care — from therapy to highly specialized consultations and on-site diagnostics. This is a qualitative leap in the accessibility and quality of healthcare for residents of the region,” said Elena Ksenofontova, head of the general practice outpatient clinic at City Hospital No. 1.
All offices and common areas of the new clinic are delivered on a turnkey basis with installed equipment and furniture. There will be an X-ray room, a mammograph, a fluorography machine, two ultrasound machines, an endoscopic stand, and also the only device on the peninsula for studying the function of external respiration, a body plethysmograph.
Body plethysmography allows you to fully examine the functional characteristics of the patient’s lungs for a more accurate diagnosis and high-quality selection of therapy for major lung diseases, such as bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, as well as in the development of respiratory dysfunction in acute processes, such as acute pneumonia.
In addition, the device can help in selecting therapy for many cardiac diseases.
