In the north of Crimea, in Krasnoperekopsk, construction and installation work on the construction of a water treatment plant will soon begin. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Svetlana Maslova.
More than 2 billion rubles were allocated for the implementation of the first project for the construction of water treatment facilities in Krasnoperekopsk in 2023 year. The customer is the State Unitary Enterprise «Water of Crimea», which has begun to select a contractor for construction and installation work. The implementation of measures is carried out with the support of the Ministry of Construction of Russia, together with the Territorial Development Fund , — said the Deputy Prime Minister.
According to Svetlana Maslova, the Clean Water federal project is being implemented as part of the Housing and Urban Environment national project. The goal of the project is to improve the quality of drinking water through the modernization of water supply systems using advanced water treatment technologies. Crimea made the decision to participate in the project in 2019 year, after which an assessment was made of the state of the water supply system and an inventory of infrastructure in cities and towns, where the proportion of the population provided with high-quality drinking water did not reach the target indicators. These criteria formed the basis for the selection of objects necessary for construction and their locations.
Currently, the share of the population in the Republic of Crimea as a whole, provided with high-quality drinking water from centralized water supply systems, is about 78%.
