Contract in Crimea: from 5 million rubles for the first year of service

To enroll in military service under a contract, those interested can apply in person to the selection point or military commissariat, by mail or by telephone. You can also submit an application in the citizen’s personal account on the website of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation contract service.rf or through the electronic service “Become a volunteer or contractor” on the portal Gosuslugi.rf.

When concluding a contract, military personnel receive one-time cash payments in the amount of 400,000 rubles (in accordance with By Decree of the President of the Russian Federation) and 1,200,000 rubles (in accordance with By decree of the Head of the Republic).

In addition, those who enter into a contract at a military commissariat or selection point on the territory of Crimea, regardless of registration, will be able to decide to receive monetary compensation in the amount of 1 million rubles in exchange for a land plot immediately upon concluding the contract. Thus, the total payment amount reaches 2 million 600 thousand rubles.

Also, for service in a special military operation zone, a monthly payment of 220 thousand rubles (depending on military rank, position and length of service) is paid.

In addition, Crimeans can upgrade themselves to the forces of unmanned systems. When undergoing special training in the use of unmanned systems, a citizen will be taught:

• pilot various types of unmanned systems;
• repair unmanned systems;
• engineering, work with ammunition and explosives;
• configure and program unmanned systems, work in the field of 3D modeling and 3D printing;
• work with commercial UAVs;
• build IP networks, build radio communications;
• understand topographic maps;
• drive vehicles.

In addition to payments, contract military personnel are provided with federal and regional social benefits and guarantees.

Such as: the possibility of purchasing housing at the expense of the Russian Ministry of Defense through the savings-mortgage system; service housing or compensation for rental housing; free examination, treatment and rehabilitation in military medical institutions; health life insurance at the expense of the federal budget; the right to a preferential pension after 20 years of service; combat veteran status and related benefits. Also, SVO participants can apply for credit and tax holidays; budget places for children to study at universities; booking jobs; free recreation for children in summer health camps; unified additional payments, benefits and guarantees of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
