Crimea: at the end of the year, positive dynamics were recorded in the field of road safety
At the meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, issues of road safety and reducing accident rates on federal, regional and local roads were discussed.
At the end of 2025, positive dynamics in the field of road safety were recorded in Crimea. The total number of road accidents decreased by 8.2%. The number of deaths decreased by more than 10%, and the number of injured decreased by 5.3%.
During the reporting period, the number of collisions with pedestrians decreased by 15.3%, and the number of deaths as a result of these incidents decreased by 25.4%.
According to statistics, the main reasons for road accidents are traffic violations: exceeding the speed limit, failure to maintain a safe distance, violation of intersection rules and driving into oncoming traffic.
In general, at the end of the year in Crimea the forecast target determined by the framework of the federal project “Road Safety” was not exceeded.
The relevant departments will continue to work to prevent crime and further reduce the accident rate.
