Crimea is among the leading regions in the dynamics of growth in the number of vacationers in sanatoriums

Currently, the development of health tourism in Crimea is one of the “growth points”. There are 91 sanatoriums in the republic. By 2030, as part of the construction of new sanatorium-resort and tourist facilities, it is planned to open 33 facilities, including 8 sanatoriums. All objects are included in a large-scale program for the development of tourism infrastructure in Crimea.

The demand for sanatorium and resort services is growing — more than 50% of tourists choose health improvement as the main purpose of arriving in Crimea. At the same time, the trend is that the age of guests is becoming significantly younger; more and more people have begun to care about their health. We also observe that classic sanatoriums follow the modern needs of their guests and include in the list of services those that were previously unique to hotel complexes. Indoor swimming pools, spa complexes, saunas, fitness centers, animation and much more are increasingly appearing. In turn, hotels are modernizing and introducing or expanding wellness services,” noted the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Ganziy.

The minister also added that at the republican level, the Head of Crimea has approved priority areas of scientific and technological development, one of the blocks of which is a sanatorium and resort complex. Crimea, as a unique natural region, which has a classical treatment and rehabilitation base based on healing natural resources developed back in Soviet times, is on the path of introducing modern technologies, digital systems and artificial intelligence into treatment programs, which are developed in the laboratories of universities and research institutes. Such programs are already being adapted on the basis of sanatorium and resort institutions and help in the recovery and rehabilitation of Russians on the territory of the republic.

As analysts of the Sanatoriums of Russia.rf service note, further development of the industry will depend on the ability of sanatoriums to adapt to changing economic conditions and the needs of various consumer segments, and investments in modernization, expansion of the range of services and development of medical competencies are becoming key factors of competitiveness and sustainable growth in the future.
