Crimea Trolleybus no longer carries passengers for cash

Crimea Trolleybus no longer carries passengers for cash

Today it is no longer possible to pay in cash in public transport on routes served by Crimea Trolleybus throughout the republic, Satsik confirmed.

Only if these are routes of a private carrier, and Crimea Trolleybus has completely switched to non-cash paymentshe said.

Thus, according to Satsik, if a passenger does not have a transport card, a bank card, or its mini-analogue — a payment sticker, then state-owned enterprises will refuse to travel on public transport.

If he (the passenger – ed.) does not have any methods of electronic payment for travel, then, yes, he will not be able to travel in cash,” Satsik noted.

She emphasized that the driver of the Crimean trolleybus public transport will not be able to go on the route “if his validator through which payment is made is broken.”

That is… the validator must constantly work to pay, and the person must understand: he or she has a banking application installed on his phone through which he can pay, or he has a travel cardsaid Satsik.

Although “sometimes a carrier’s validator may not work due to the lack of mobile communications or the Internet,” she added, speaking about the main reasons for the complete transition to non-cash payments in Crimean transport.

I don’t want to say that there is some kind of “black cash desk” or that our drivers work “in the dark.” This (innovation — ed.) is largely for the safety of passenger transportation… to improve the driver’s work, because he is not distracted by servicing and treating passengerssaid Satsik.

She emphasized that the introduction of a unified transport card in Crimea is a pilot project and will still be improved based on the results of testing.

For example, it is not yet possible to top up a single travel card in Crimea: after all the trips on one are exhausted, you will have to buy a new one.

Currently the functionality is being improved. After a two-month pilot project, when all any shortcomings or wishes, if any, are taken into account, it will be possible to top up this cardsaid Satsik.

There is still no way to find out how many trips are left — you will have to keep the count yourself.

The application is being developed, so for now, you probably need to record the number of trips. It probably won’t be displayed on the validator.said Satsik.

Also, the issue of preferential tariffs has not yet been worked out; whether they will be available after two months of the “pilot” is not yet known with certainty, she noted.

So far, at this stage, there are no plans (preferential tariffs — ed.) … Whether there will be a change or not, I cannot say for todaysaid Satsik.

At the same time, nothing changes for the preferential category of citizens — they can, without purchasing a transport card, continue to pay with their preferential card linked to the bank,” she emphasized.

According to Satsik, while the pilot project is being tested, “private carriers will still remain on their own account,” but the innovation will affect them very soon.

The innovation for private carriers is planned to be introduced sometime in May, if everything goes as planned by our ministry. There should be one rule for everyone,” said Satsik.

She admitted that “some of the carriers will be dissatisfied with this,” nevertheless, the plan will be implemented, since “all this is being done to optimize, improve the quality of service and the operation of the access train.”

Now, at the initial stage of launching the pilot project, transport cards can be purchased at all Krymavtotrans bus stations, the head of the committee clarified. Available denominations include: 300, 600, 900 rubles. There is also an option for 3,000 rubles – for 100 trips.
