Crimea: what changes are expected in the tourist season of 2023
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The 2023 tourism season could be challenging but also exciting with new challenges for the industry.
This year, only category accommodation facilities that have passed certification will operate in Crimea, which raises the level of quality of service at the same price. This also means that if a tourist comes to Crimea, returning to any collective accommodation facility again, he receives a guaranteed quality service. In addition, many large accommodation facilities used interesting marketing moves to attract tourists: discount and bonus programs, offers of additional free services. This tourist season, the most effective of them will be applied in the industry, which will also give its result.— the press service of the university quotes Igor Vakhrushev, Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism of the Crimean Federal University.
According to him, the booking structure is also an important change.
It must be understood that the booking structure has changed throughout Russia. Now tourists have the opportunity to book not for a month or two, as it was before, but for a week or two. This model has been operating since October last year. In addition, Crimean hoteliers are more efficient in applying the discount system, while in Krasnodar and Sochi, 4 and 5 star hotel complexes have raised prices by more than 30% due to the tourist boom. Changes are also tangible in the structure of tourist flows. Last year, the peninsula received a sufficient number of autotourists along the Crimean bridge. Now the situation largely depends on how quickly the pass system will be adjusted.— Igor Vakhrushev notes.
He also noted that changes in excursion activities are expected for guests and residents of the peninsula. From this year, only accredited specialists can work in the profession.
