Crimean athletes have four gold medals at the European Junior Boxing Championships in Yerevan

The Russian team won 46 medals (38 gold, 7 silver and 1 bronze) and took first place in the team event. Representatives of the peninsula made a significant contribution to the success of the Russians. All four of our plenipotentiaries rose to the highest step of the podium.

In the competition for juniors 17-18 years old, the strongest in their weight categories were Ruslan Shikhmambetov from the Saki region (up to 86 kg, coach Vilen Seytosmanov) and Simferopol resident Kirill Lukyanov (up to 92 kg, coaches Arsen Smailov and Islyam Nafeev).

Another representative of the Crimean capital, Yuri Avetyan (coach Sergey Lapin), had no equal in the weight category up to 57 kg among juniors 19-22 years old.

Sofya Kulaeva from Sevastopol (coach – Ruslan Davidenko) took gold in the up to 57 kg category among juniors 19-22 years old.
