Crimean authorities on annual payments to veterans of the Great Patriotic War on Victory Day

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers — Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Crimea Elena Romanovskaya spoke about the annual payments to veterans of the Great Patriotic War on Victory Day.
Veterans of the Great Patriotic War, as well as members of their families, are a special category of citizens who enjoy the support and care of the state on an ongoing basis. In addition, every year on Victory Day, veterans of the Great Patriotic War receive lump-sum cash payments from both the federal and republican budgets.— said Romanovskaya.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated April 24, 2019 No. 186 “On the annual cash payment to certain categories of citizens on Victory Day”, 243 veterans received a payment of 10 thousand rubles.
The following payments were made from the republican budget:
— 101 veterans who were directly involved in hostilities received a payment in the amount of 50 thousand rubles;
— 429 citizens who became disabled due to hostilities during the war years in the amount of 15 thousand rubles;
— 155 former prisoners of fascism in the amount of 7 thousand rubles;
— 8,500 home front workers and family members of the victims in the amount of 5 thousand rubles;
— 76,087 children of the war in the amount of 1 thousand rubles.
By the Day of the Liberation of Crimea, a payment of 10,000 rubles is traditionally made to all participants in the liberation and defense of Crimea. This year, 14 veterans received this payment.
Along with the above payments on Victory Day, additional support is provided in the republic in the form of material assistance for the repair of residential premises. Since the beginning of this year, financial assistance for the repair of residential premises has been paid to 11 citizens: 1 participant in the Great Patriotic War, 3 family members of the perished (deceased) veterans of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and 7 former minor prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and other places of detention, created by the Nazis and their allies. The total amount of funds paid out amounted to 1.9 million rubles.
In June, on the Day of Partisan Glory, 21 partisans and members of the underground movement will receive a payment of 10 thousand rubles: both our Crimean veterans and members of the partisan and underground movement in the territories of Ukraine and Belarus— added the Crimean Deputy Prime Minister.
The total amount of funds paid from the republican budget amounted to 209.3 million rubles.
