Crimean blogger sentenced in Ukraine: 11 years for helping Northern Military District soldiers
In accordance with the public accusation of the prosecutor’s office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, a blogger from Crimea was found guilty of collaboration, aiding the aggressor country and justifying warsays a message from the department’s Telegram channel.
The argument for Kiryakov’s guilt in Ukraine is that, as the owner of video channels on the Internet and a guest of the Russian media, Kiryakov constantly supported the decisions and actions of the Russian authorities.
The convict also actively helped the enemy’s armed forces, in particular, he carried humanitarian aid to the Russian military,” the report says.
In addition to 11 years of imprisonment with confiscation, Kiryakov was sentenced in absentia to restrict the right to hold positions in government bodies and various organizations for a period of 11 years.
So, I’m doing everything right. Also, for the Day of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, they awarded such a period as a gift. Well, in general, it’s great, this means that I’ve been listed as an occupier and accomplice on their Ukrainian “peacekeeper” for just 11 years now—since the fall of 2014. What can I say to this? Of course, I serve Russia, I serve my beloved Motherland, — Alexander Kiryakov, better known as Sandro, commented on the news in his Telegram channel.
