Crimean cities are among the top popular destinations for spontaneous trips in December

December 30th is the Celebration of Extraordinary Last Minute Changes. In the last days of the passing year, I want these changes to be pleasant. For example, to suddenly decide and go on a trip. Somewhere — because it is urgently needed or because you really want to. Better yet, let it be both. Where were the travelers going “suddenly and unexpectedly” in December?

The Russian hotel and apartment booking service TVIL.RU identified the most popular destinations for spontaneous travel in December 2025, identifying bookings that were made 1-2 days before the start of the trip. Moscow came in first place, with 20% of such applications. St. Petersburg is in second place, and Sochi is in third (8% and 3% of surprise bookings in December, respectively).
