Crimean farmers are completing the grape harvest season
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The yield averaged 69 centners per hectare. Let me remind you: in 2024, 113 thousand tons were collected. This year, spring frosts and severe soil drought led to the death of plantings and a decrease in harvest volumes,” the Head of Crimea clarified.
At the same time, Sergei Aksenov noted that high temperature during harvest formation affects the organoleptic and physicochemical properties of berries.
Therefore, for example, red dry and fortified wines from the 2025 harvest will be especially rich in flavor due to abnormal weather conditions,” explained the Head of the Republic.
Currently, weather conditions allow Crimean farmers to continue harvesting late-ripening grape varieties, as well as grape varieties intended for the production of dessert wines of the ice wine type.
