Crimean Metropolitan Tikhon celebrates the 10th anniversary of his episcopal consecration

Ten years ago, on October 24, 2015, on the day of the celebration of the Council of the Optina Elders, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ led the service of the Divine Liturgy in the Kazan Ambrosian stauropegial women’s hermitage in Shamordino. During the service, Archimandrite Tikhon (Shevkunov) was consecrated as Bishop of Yegoryevsk.
During his two years at the Crimean See, Bishop Tikhon did a lot for the comprehensive development of diocesan and parish life on the peninsula, the diocese noted.
