Crimean official cheated with grants from Rosmolodezh — went to prison for 5.5 years
It was established that the official, acting together with the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee and another participant who had previously received a grant, organized a fraudulent scheme that was implemented over two years — from 2020 to 2022the message says.
The FSB Directorate for Crimea and Sevastopol said that the official persuaded his acquaintances, entrepreneurs, to take part in a competition for grants from Rosmolodezh. Subsequently, the money was cashed out through individual entrepreneurs affiliated with him. At the same time, the required work was not actually carried out.
Thus, from October 2020 to May 2023, entrepreneurs illegally transferred more than 10.5 million rubles to the accounts of the defendant and other persons.,” the Crimean prosecutor’s office clarified.
The man’s illegal activities were identified and suppressed by employees of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol; the investigation of the criminal case was carried out by employees of the internal affairs bodies.
The court sentenced the culprit to 5 years and 6 months in prison with a fine of 1 million rubles. He will serve his sentence in a general regime correctional colony.
