Crimean rescuers evacuated 4 tourists from the Ai-Petri plateau

On the night of May 9 (at 2:30), the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a message that in the area of the Ai-Petri plateau, a group of tourists of 4 people lost their bearings on the ground due to heavy fog and lost their way. They cannot move on their own. The help of rescuers in search and evacuation is required. A duty shift of rescuers from the Bakhchisaray emergency rescue team «KRYM-SPAS», as well as employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea, were sent to the scene.
Rescuers arrived at the proposed search area and began work. On the 26th kilometer of the Yalta-Bakhchisarai highway, a passenger car of tourists was found. Continuing the search, the victims were found in the area of Mount Sungurta. They did not need medical attention. Rescuers in a company car delivered them to their own vehicles. Also, a preventive conversation was held with them on the rules of conduct in the mountain-forest zone.— reported in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
The entire search operation lasted more than 7 hours and was complicated by weather conditions, dark time of the day and difficult terrain.
