Crimean reservoirs have enough reserves for more than a year

Crimean drinking reservoirs of natural flow continue to fill with water. The reserves available today, without taking into account future inflows, will last approximately 14 months— Konstantinov informed.

And he clarified that over the past week, more than 10.5 million cubic meters entered the peninsula’s reservoirs. At the same time, some Crimean reservoirs are filled to 100 percent. The total volume of filling 23 Crimean reservoirs today is 197 million cubic meters of water, noted the Chairman of the Parliament of the Republic of Crimea.

And he emphasized that the priority for the leadership of the republic remains the uninterrupted supply of high-quality water to Crimeans, therefore the situation is being analyzed and all organizational work in this direction will be continued.

Previously, the head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko, also reportedthat the heavy rainfall that fell on the South Coast significantly replenished the reserves of the reservoirs feeding the region.

The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, reported that Crimea will begin construction of two new reservoirs at the beginning of 2026. These are the Martovskoye (5.5 million cubic meters) and Solnechnogorskoye (8.5 million cubic meters) reservoirs on the southern coast of Crimea. The amount of financing is 22.4 billion rubles.
