Crimean scientists won grants from the Russian Science Foundation

Twelve projects prepared by Crimean scientists became winners of regional grant competitions of the Russian Science Foundation. The Head of the Republic of Crimea announced this. As Sergey Aksyonov noted, the leader in the number of grants won was the Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky».

The themes of the winning projects are varied. This includes diagnostics of the marine environment of Crimea and the creation of adaptive systems for the protection of garden plantings, early detection of complications in patients with diabetes and rehabilitation of post-stroke patients, development of herbal medicines— said the Head of the Republic.

The winners of the competitions were also the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov, the Kerch State Marine Technological University and the Research Institute of Agriculture of the Crimea.

Sergei Aksyonov added that financial support for scientific research comes from a grant from the Russian Science Foundation and parity funding from the region.

Particular attention is paid to areas that directly affect the quality of life of Crimeans: medicine, sanatorium-resort rehabilitation and agriculture. The government of the republic will continue to consistently support scientific initiatives in these areas,” the Head of Crimea emphasized.

REFERENCE. The Russian Science Foundation was created in 2013 on the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation. The RSF supports significant fundamental and applied research in the interests of science, economics and society, identifying the most promising scientific projects, supporting the younger generation of researchers and stimulating public interest in science.
