A fighter of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student groups went to the Omsk region to participate in the All-Russian patriotic action “Snow landing of the Russian North Ossetia”. This event became an important stage in the development of interregional cooperation and volunteer movement between the south of Russia and Siberia.
The geography of volunteer work covers both the regional center and remote municipal areas of Omsk. The residency program includes a wide range of volunteer, social and sports initiatives. Particular attention is paid to targeted assistance to veterans, representatives of the older generation and families of SVO participants. The applied part of the work also includes landscaping and clearing memorial sites of snow.
A traditionally important vector of the campaign is career guidance for rural schoolchildren. During meetings in educational institutions, fighters introduce students to the activities of student groups and help them in choosing a future profession. In addition, the program includes cultural and sports events aimed at promoting the values of a healthy lifestyle and creative self-realization of young people.
The development of interregional cooperation is one of the priorities for our department. It is extremely important for us that Crimean fighters are active outside their native peninsula, representing the republic at the federal level. Participation in the Siberian landing is not just volunteer work, it is a powerful school of life and a test of strength. When our guys travel to other regions, they prove that there are no geographical boundaries for mutual assistance and patriotism,” noted Ekaterina Denesyuk, head of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student groups.
For me, participation in the “RSO Snow Landing” in the Omsk region is a unique opportunity to test myself and bring real benefit where it is especially needed now. Despite the severe Siberian frosts, we were greeted very warmly and cordially. I am proud to represent Crimea in this great and good cause. The distance of thousands of kilometers only emphasizes the unity of our movement — we are one team, ready to help anywhere in the country– shared Valeria Babich, a participant in the landing from the Crimean student detachments.
The annual event “RSO Snow Landing” in the Omsk region plays an important role in patriotic education and the development of the volunteer movement. The participation of Crimean students in such trips helps strengthen ties between the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, forms in young people a sense of responsibility for the development of their region and the entire country, and also transmits the key values of the labor movement to the younger generation.
