Crimean woman — laureate of the All-Russian Prize “We will live — 2026”
On January 31, on the eve of World Cancer Day, a ceremony was held at the State Kremlin Palace to present the All-Russian “We Will Live” Award, one of the most significant platforms for public recognition in the fight against cancer. The award was established by the All-Russian Association for Helping Cancer Patients “Hello!” and is aimed at supporting and popularizing the achievements and efforts of those who fight every day for the health and quality of life of cancer patients, as well as those who inspire by their example.
Based on the results of public voting, Crimean journalist and TV presenter Oksana Loboda became one of the award winners in the “Unique Patient Story” category.
In 2024, having gone through personal experience with cancer, Oksana initiated the creation of a community of women with cancer “You are not alone” in Crimea. The goal of the project was mutual support between women, as well as providing cancer patients with comprehensive information about diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. In just six months, the community initiative group “You are not alone” organized about ten events aimed at psychological and social support for women diagnosed with cancer.
An important part of the community’s activities has become the awareness-raising media project on Rutube “Honestly about Cancer”, in which a journalist and cancer patient, together with a team of volunteers — a cameraman, editor and designer — films interviews with doctors and other experts. The project not only answers complex medical questions, but also highlights inspiring stories of women who have already overcome the disease.
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea congratulates Oksana Loboda on her high award as part of the All-Russian “We Will Live” Award. Increasing awareness of cancer patients about their disease, as well as their psychological and social support, play an important role in improving their quality of life.
Information: The All-Russian “Let’s Live” Award was established in 2017 as part of World Cancer Day and annually brings together more than five thousand participants — the medical community, patients, teachers, psychologists, volunteers and public figures — everyone who, with their work, talent and sincere involvement, supports people facing cancer. Over the years of its existence, the award has become one of the key platforms for public recognition and professional dialogue in the field of cancer care.
