Crimean Youth Theater celebrated its birthday — 36 years since its inception

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The festive day in the Crimean Youth Theater began with gratitude and communication with friends of the theater. The round table «Theater School» brought together representatives of Crimean schools — teachers and parents who have been cooperating with the theater for a long time. The director of the Crimean Youth Theater Nina Permyakova presented gratitude for her personal contribution to the upbringing of the younger generation, the formation of the moral development of the child’s personality by means of theatrical art:

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing this holiday with us today. You often visit our theater and help us with the education of the future generation. The Theater of the Young Spectator is the theater that works with the family. We work so that not only children, but also parents can come to us so that they can discuss what they see at home.

Artistic director Andrei Permyakov recalled the projects that the theater is currently implementing to attract young people and their interest in art — this is a spectator club, readings of modern drama, exhibitions in the Ha-Ra-Sho! Gallery, discussions of performances and much more:

Theater is a very changing, reflective art form, and we react very quickly to everything that happens in the world. We close some projects, new ones appear to replace them. Our theater is growing. The repertoire is developing — an adult in parallel with children’s and youth. We have both classic and modern drama. We come to the theater for living energy, for those feelings, emotions that in ordinary life someone does not experience at all, and someone rarely experiences.

A productive dialogue took place, at which the theater management and the guests of the round table voiced proposals for the popularization of culture, some ideas have already been taken into development.

Also, according to tradition, the theater presented a premiere on its birthday. On the occasion of the 36th anniversary, a choreographic performance «The Ugly Duckling» was staged at the Crimean Youth Theater. Young artists led by director Sergei Tolstykh and choreographer Natalya Romanova gave the audience vivid impressions and warm emotions on this festive day.

The only theater for young spectators in the republic was founded on the basis of the Golden Key International Theater Arts Center. 36 years ago, two young and ambitious directors opened the doors to the world of theatrical art for Yevpatoriya residents. Nina and Oleg Permyakov created a theater whose name later became known far beyond the borders of Crimea. Today, the repertoire of the Crimean Youth Theater includes more than 30 performances for children and adults, which are attended by about 30 thousand spectators a year. Still a striking feature of the Crimean Youth Theater is the participation of child artists in joint projects with a professional troupe. The Crimean State Theater for Young Spectators regularly participates in laboratories, tours, festivals, and is the organizer of the famous International Festival “Earth. Theater. Children”, reading, creative evenings and other bright theatrical events.
