Crimeans are invited to take part in the “Science around us” campaign

The events are held by the Knowledge Society and precede the Knowledge.Science marathon, which will take place on October 30-31 with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Anyone can join the action. For all those interested in science, video lectures from the Russian Society “Znanie” are available. Among them is a documentary series «Icebreaker of Knowledge»movies Knowledge.Sciencea series of TED lectures «Faces of Smyslov»Lectures and excursions to unique locations State Corporation «Rosatom». Additionally, video excursions have been prepared to the outstanding scientific centers of Russia — the academic towns of Serpukhov, Obninsk and Chernogolovka. For anyone who wants to give a lecture on scientific achievements, 25 ready-made materials have been prepared, located in library.

Highlights of the “Science Around Us” campaign will be meetings of governors with students and young scientists, which will take place at federal universities, regional research centers and universities participating in the “Priority 2030” program. In the format of an open dialogue, young people will learn about the role of regional science in the development of the country, measures to support research and career opportunities that open up for talented children in a variety of fields.

The culmination of the action will be the Knowledge.Science marathon, which will be held in Moscow on October 30-31. 5,000 people will be able to listen live to lectures by leading scientists, and the entire country will be able to tune in to the broadcast of the large-scale event. The organizers are the Russian Society “Knowledge” and the Moscow Polytechnic University with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The events of the campaign and the Knowledge.Science marathon are timed to coincide with the Decade of Science and Technology announced by President Vladimir Putin and the national project “Youth and Children”.
