Crimeans ask to correct the injustice in federal standards for obtaining electric wheelchairs
Resident of the city of Saki Galina Rogovaya Galina addressed the program “Results of the year with Vladimir Putin” and shared the problem of many wheelchair users throughout Russia. To get a stroller with a “motor,” a person must not actually “work” not only his legs, but also at least 1 arm.
Galina Makarovna herself became disabled at the age of 16, now she is 72 years old and has been using a manual wheelchair for more than 50 years. With age, it became difficult to twist my arms, which led to joint dislocation and constant pain. As a result, the family began to buy electric strollers at their own expense, but these are very expensive, even a “used” one from Avito costs 45,000 rubles, and they have to be replaced every 3-4 years. A new modern stroller costs money that is impossible for most disabled people.
The pensioner wants justice for all wheelchair users in the country. This is an opportunity to move freely around the house and outside, solve your everyday problems and not feel constant pain.
Galina Makarovna is a labor veteran, involved in wheelchair racing, helps other disabled people,” noted the press service of the Popular Front in Crimea.
The woman took this initiative to the “Results of the Year with Vladimir Putin” program, where her signal was received by representatives of the Popular Front.
