Crimeans warned of heavy snowfalls
According to the Crimean Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, by the end of the day on January 13, January 14 and 15, snow, sleet, and heavy precipitation are expected in the southern, eastern regions and in the mountains. Wet snow is deposited and roads are icy, the report says.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations warns of a high probability of accidents at energy and housing and communal services facilities, disruption of transport communications, and obstruction of vehicle traffic, especially in areas of mountain passes.
Rescuers recommend that Crimeans and guests of the peninsula not go out into mountainous forest areas, but when outside, pay attention to the integrity of overhead power lines, contact networks of electric vehicles and tree branches.
In addition, you should not be near billboards, weakly reinforced structures, power lines and trees, and do not park cars near them.
Drivers are urged to be extremely careful on the roads, not to exceed the speed limit, strictly adhere to traffic rules and distance, and not to overtake or make sudden maneuvers.
The head office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations also drew attention to the fact that the passage to Mount Ai-Petri is blocked.
