In Kerch, a verdict was passed in a criminal case on attempted sale of more than 200 «bookmarks» of drugs. The court established that a 31-year-old resident of Sevastopol and a 22-year-old resident of Evpatoria tried to distribute the narcotic substances methamphetamine, N-methylephedron and hashish through the equipment of «bookmarks» in the city. The activities of the «criminal couple» were suppressed by law enforcement officers, more than 220 «bookmarks» with prohibited substances were discovered and seized.
They were found guilty of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 5 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempt to illegally sell drugs, committed using information and telecommunication networks (including the Internet), by a group of persons by prior agreement, on a large scale), — said the prosecutor’s office. — Taking into account the position of the public prosecutor, the guilty were sentenced to 6 years in prison each.
The convicted «mortgagers» will serve their sentences in penal colonies of general and strict regime. The verdict has not entered into force.
