Decisive and selfless. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation spoke about the new exploits of the heroes of the SVO
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Another five pages of the glorious military annals of the special operation from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. On each — a feat. Not “planned for the day”, as in the movies, but a real heroic act dictated by circumstances, state of mind, patriotism and selflessness.
Senior Ensign Vitaly Voloshchuk, the commander of the support platoon of the rocket artillery division of the guard, performed combat missions to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of ammunition to the positions of the Russian group of troops. The enemy, in an attempt to disrupt the supply of our units, opened fire from artillery and mortars on the motorcade, which included Vitaly Voloshchuk. Acting courageously and professionally, Vitaliy led the car with ammunition to a safe area, chose the best route, secretly delivered the cargo to the positions of the jet battalion, which was fighting the nationalists. Thanks to the professional skills, courage and determination of the senior warrant officer Voloshchuk, the artillerymen timely completed the task of providing fire support to the advancing Russian troops and destroyed the Ukrainian nationalists’ D-30 towed howitzer.
Private Artem Tishchenko, as part of a group of Russian troops, carried out tasks to liberate one of the settlements from Ukrainian militants. During the cleansing of the village from the Nazis, Artem discovered an ambush — a well-camouflaged enemy position in an abandoned building. Tishchenko assessed the situation with lightning speed and with aimed fire from the cannon of the combat vehicle destroyed the enemy group in position. The beginning of the successful expulsion of militants from their lines and positions was laid, after which Private Tishchenko destroyed one enemy tank and two infantry fighting vehicles. As a result of the fighting, the settlement was liberated from Ukrainian nationalists. A few days later, Private Tishchenko, in a group of Russian servicemen, took part in the assault on a nationalist stronghold. After artillery preparation, our fighters attacked the enemy stronghold on the flank and inflicted significant damage to the enemy in manpower and equipment. The courage and decisiveness of the group’s actions made it possible to suppress the enemy’s firing points. Private Artem Tishchenko personally destroyed two enemy machine-gun crews and a large number of militant manpower with fire from a cannon of a combat vehicle.
The engineering and sapper company under the command of Captain Dmitry Kireev performed the tasks of fortifying checkpoints, demining buildings and engineering reconnaissance of troop movement routes. Despite the massive artillery and mortar attacks, the group successfully destroyed the militants’ engineering barriers, making passages in them and neutralizing anti-tank mines. The assault unit, which was assigned the combat mission of taking control of a strategically important line — a platoon stronghold with a checkpoint, advanced unhindered. With their competent and skillful actions, a group under the command of Captain Kireev helped the assault unit destroy a platoon stronghold, a checkpoint with nationalist personnel, and also ensured the safe approach of the main forces by neutralizing 10 anti-tank mines.
Junior Sergeant Vadim Gazin, as part of a group of Russian servicemen, performed the tasks of clearing the area, searching for and destroying explosive objects near one of the settlements. Moving along the route, Vadim found camouflaged land mines on a section of the road. The group proceeded to mine the section of the road. Despite the ongoing shelling, the group neutralized all the land mines placed on the way, after which junior sergeant Vadim Gazin, skillfully maneuvering on a difficult terrain, took the engineering group in a truck to a safe area. The courage and dedication of junior sergeant Gazin allowed the group to complete the assigned tasks without loss.
Sergeant Vladimir Andreev is the head of the radio station of the communications platoon. Its task is to ensure uninterrupted communication between various units of the battalion tactical group of the Russian Armed Forces. On one of his combat duties, he provided communications in the BTGr column, which was subjected to artillery and mortar fire from Ukrainian nationalists. Dense mortar fire caught the radio station and Sergeant Andreev: he received shrapnel wounds. Worrying about the fate of his colleagues and realizing the critical importance of his work, he bandaged the wounds himself and repaired communications equipment. Thanks to the decisiveness of Sergeant Andreev, the Russian military did not lose communication and were able to repel the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
