Dementia and courage: a Sevastopol resident drove around the city in a deregistered car and with hundreds of fines for traffic violations
During the “Defaulter” raid, the crew of a separate battalion of the traffic police of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol identified and detained a deregistered Audi car with more than a hundred fines for traffic violations.
In November of this year, an 18-year-old enterprising guy purchased a foreign car on the secondary market. I was in no hurry to register the car — I was just driving around the city. I didn’t pay attention to the speed limit signs and video cameras. He mistakenly believed that his driving style would go unpunished. Schumacher did not take into account only one thing: the professionalism of the State Traffic Inspectorate employees with excellent knowledge of the laws. The police didn’t follow him around the city with sirens. We compared the data, analyzed the routes, and one fine day the “free flights” ended on the side of the road under the glimmer of beacons, — the details of the case were announced in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Sevastopol.
In relation to the “racer”, traffic inspectors compiled administrative material under Part 1 of Article 12.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Driving a Vehicle Not Registered in the Established Procedure”, seized the license plates of the previous owner and the vehicle registration certificate.
In addition, the offender will have to pay more than a hundred fines totaling 119,250 rubles for systematic speeding.
The State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol reminds: the owner of the vehicle is obliged to submit an application to the registration department within ten days from the date of acquisition of the rights to it.
