Deputy head of «CRIMEA-SPAS» Vladimir Melnikov passed away

Vladimir Melnikov, deputy head of search and rescue work at the CRIMEA-SPAS institution, died at the age of 56. This was announced by the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic Alexey Eremenko.

Today, March 24, Vladimir Anatolyevich Melnikov, deputy head for search and rescue work of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea “CRIMEA-SPAS”, passed away– the head of the department wrote in his Telegram channel.

The minister noted that Melnikov led the Control and Rescue Service of Crimea for 12 years and took part in the most complex rescue operations. He stood at the origins of the creation of the state government institution of the Republic of Crimea “CRIMEA-SPAS”, being the permanent deputy head of the institution from 2014 to the present day.

Vladimir Anatolyevich is a pride for the entire community of rescuers of our republic and country. His outstanding contribution was repeatedly noted by the highest authorities of the republic and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. Among the numerous state and departmental awards is the honorary title “Honored Rescuer of the Republic of Crimea”,” added Eremenko.

The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Crimea expressed condolences to Melnikov’s family, friends and colleagues.
