Don't go, girls, get married… A story about domestic violence in Sevastopol

In Sevastopol, patrol officers detained a foreigner who deliberately harmed the health of his wife. According to the city department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of a family conflict, a 36-year-old woman was injured and had to go to a medical facility.
A 40-year-old resident of neighboring countries, being in a state of intoxication, was jealous of his wife and demanded a smartphone from her in order to get acquainted with her personal correspondence. Refused, the man grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed his wife in the face. After being injured, the victim went to the neighbors to call an ambulance and the police.
Officers of the patrol service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Leninsky district immediately arrived at the scene of the incident and detained the suspect. Material evidence seized, including the alleged weapon of the crime — a knife— told the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under Part 2 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Intentional infliction of minor bodily harm”), he faces up to two years in prison.
