«Drift» in the parking lot of a shopping center in Simferopol turned into a large fine

In Simferopol, police officers held local residents accountable for violating public order.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Simferopol received a message from a security guard of one of the shopping centers in the city of Simferopol that unknown drivers of cars in the car park grossly violate the Rules of the Road: they blocked the passage and make other prohibited maneuvers. A squad of traffic police of the traffic police went to the place of the offense. Some of the violators were detained on the spot, in respect of which police officers drew up protocols under a number of articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation , — said the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.

The police promptly carried out a complex of operational-search measures to identify the offenders. As a result, a 18-year-old Simferopol resident was detained. The guy said that in a VAZ-21063 car belonging to his sister, he arrived at the parking lot of a local shopping center in order to spend time with friends. After seeing how previously unknown young people carried out «drift» in the parking lot of a supermarket, he had a desire to join them. The detainee admitted his guilt and repented of his deed.

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Simferopol against a young violator drew up a protocol on an administrative offense under Part 1 of Art. 20 .2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (organization of a mass simultaneous stay and (or) movement of citizens in public places that is not a public event, which caused a violation of public order, or interfered with the movement of pedestrians or vehicles or access citizens to residential premises or objects of transport or social infrastructure).

The Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Simferopol imposed a fine in the amount of 10 thousand rubles , — noted the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.

Also, the Simferopol police officers identified and detained another participant in the incident of the offense. It turned out to be a 32-year-old resident of the Simferopol region, who also carried out a “drift” in a VAZ-2107 car. For violating public order, the Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Simferopol sentenced the «racer» to a one-day arrest.
