During the “Stabilization” raid, employees of the Sevastopol State Traffic Inspectorate identified 18 violations
Yesterday in the morning, in order to improve safety on the city’s roads and ensure public order on the streets in all districts of Sevastopol, the State Traffic Inspectorate conducted a preventive raid.
During a raid in traffic, traffic inspectors paid attention to a VAZ 21093, on the windshield of which the tinted stripe was wider than the legal limit. Let us remind you that such a strip should not exceed 14 cm, otherwise it turns from a “sun visor” into a protocol under Part 3.1 of Article 12.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, which is what was established for the driver of the Zhiguli.
During a further inspection of the car, inspectors discovered that a device for producing specialized light and sound signals was installed on the car without the appropriate permission. Trying to avoid responsibility, the 30-year-old driver explained that he needed the device supposedly to scare away drug addicts in his garage cooperative. These explanations did not relieve the man of responsibility — the alarm and loud-speaking installation was confiscated, and material was compiled and sent to the court in relation to the owner under Part 4 of Art. 12.5 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. He faces punishment in the form of deprivation of the right to drive for up to one and a half years with confiscation of the device.
In relation to other drivers, inspectors compiled 16 administrative materials for violations of traffic rules, including:
- violation of tinting rules;
- driving a vehicle with a technical fault;
- failure to give priority to pedestrians;
- disobeying a police officer;
- driving a vehicle without a driver’s license;
- driving a vehicle while intoxicated repeatedly (with signs of Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
One vehicle was detained by law enforcement officers and placed in a specialized parking lot.
Mass checks on city roads to identify drunk drivers are carried out on a regular basis.
The State Traffic Inspectorate of Sevastopol reminds: do not remain indifferent when you see a person driving drunk, behaving inappropriately, or creating dangerous situations on the road: call 102 or write anonymously to telegram bot.
Each such message is a chance to prevent trouble.
