A massive drone attack on Crimea began on Tuesday evening. At 22:28, the head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, said that air defense and mobile fire groups were working against enemy drones. It was loud in different areas of the peninsula. He later informed that there were casualties as a result of attacks on the city of Dzhankoy in the north of Crimea.

Unfortunately, as a result of the enemy UAV strike on Dzhankoy, there were civilian casualties — five people were killed. I express my most sincere and deepest condolences to their families and friends. The authorities will provide all necessary assistance and support,” Aksenov said on Wednesday night.

Relevant services are working at the scene of the incident. The authorities of the republic are keeping the situation under personal control and asking city residents to remain calm and trust only official information.

The case is under the control of the prosecutor’s office and the Investigative Committee

The Crimean prosecutor’s office monitors the observance of citizens’ rights after the UAV attack on Dzhankoy. Law enforcement officers are interacting with all departments to promptly eliminate the consequences of the incident.

The crime of the Armed Forces of Ukraine against the residents of Crimea is being investigated by the Investigative Committee of Russia.
