Emergency in Sevastopol: two people died and 20 were injured when a floating crane collapsed

The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol opened a criminal case on the fact of violation of traffic safety rules and operation of maritime transport, which resulted in the capsizing of a floating crane, which resulted in the death of two persons due to negligence (Part 3 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
As a result of the tragedy, 2 people died, more than 20 were injured, they are receiving the necessary medical care. A group of the most experienced investigators and forensic investigators moved to the scene of the incident to inspect the area and carry out all necessary investigative actions. The investigation will evaluate the actions of those responsible for putting the floating crane into operation. The progress of the criminal case has been put on hold.
