Every third Sevastopol resident found a job with the support of the employment service — after free training
In 2025, 100 residents of Sevastopol were trained under the regional programs of the Personnel Center “Russia’s Work”. More than a third of graduates found employment or improved their professional positions after completing the courses.
The majority of training participants are Sevastopol residents aged 35 to 54 years. These are people who have decided to change their profession, return to the labor market after a break, or improve their skills in order to be more competitive with employers.
A significant part of the students were young people aged 20 to 34 — beginning specialists and graduates for whom it was important to gain practical skills. Citizens of retirement and pre-retirement age chose training less often, but for them courses often became an opportunity to resume working activity. Women predominated among those trained. For many of them, the programs have become real support when returning to work after a break, including that associated with child care.
This year we plan to train 200 people as part of regional programs. Unemployed citizens registered in the personnel center, women with children under three years of age who are on maternity leave, as well as old-age pensioners who want to resume working activities can take part in the training — said the head of the department for the provision of career guidance and vocational training services to citizens of the Personnel Center “Russia Work” Irina Reklitskaya.
The training was conducted in areas in demand in the city’s economy: administrative and management activities, accounting and financial accounting, procurement, housing and communal services, digital professions, and entrepreneurship.
For many, training has become a point of professional restart. Thus, after the courses, some of the students were able to get a new job, some received a promotion, and some graduates opened their own businesses or began working as self-employed.

The events are carried out within the framework of the national project “Personnel”.
