Russia and Ukraine carried out another exchange of bodies of dead servicemen — 1,000 bodies were transferred to Ukraine, and 35 were received in return. This was reported by Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky.
The previous body swap was carried out January 29. Then Moscow handed over 1,000 dead Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel to Kyiv and received in return 38 bodies of Russian army soldiers.
By according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian FederationIn total, over the past year, about 12,000 bodies of dead Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers were handed over to the Ukrainian side, and about 200 dead soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces were returned to Russia.
