«Fiery weekend» of the Crimean firefighters

Over the past weekend, the firefighters of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Fire Guard of the Republic of Crimea» were involved in the elimination of a fire in residential buildings three times
On May 20, at 13:33, a signal about a fire in the city of Stary Krym (Kirov district) was lowered on the control panel of the operational duty officer of the Ministry of Emergency Situations — the roof of a private residential building caught fire. As emphasized in the emergency department, there was a real threat of the fire spreading to the entire house.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations laid hose lines and began to extinguish the fire. Within 50 minutes, the fire was completely localized and eliminated. Its area was 70 square meters. Thanks to the prompt and coordinated actions of the firefighters, it was possible to avoid a further «transition» of fire to the living quarters. There were no casualties. Causes are established— reported in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
The next day, at 21:13, the fire department on duty also received information about a fire in the village of Utyos (Alushta). And the roof of the house was on fire again. Residents got their bearings in time and evacuated on their own before the arrival of rescuers.
It took more than three hours to put out the fire. Its area was 300 square meters. Extinguishing the fire was complicated by the difficulty of the entrance to the place of fire. Thanks to the prompt actions of firefighters, it was possible to avoid further spread of fire. There were no casualties. The reasons are established.
Later, at two o’clock in the morning, a signal was received about a fire in the village of Pervomaiskoye (Kirov district). On the first floor of an apartment building in one of the apartments there was a strong smoke followed by a fire. The fire was localized and liquidated within 15 minutes. The area was 3 square meters. The reasons are established by experts.
