The direction Moscow — Kaliningrad has become the most popular for the May holidays, and most of the tickets abroad are taken to Turkey.
Analysts of the direction of air tickets of the Tutu travel service found out which routes are most popular at the beginning of May. Tickets issued for travel from April 28 to May 10 were analyzed. Most flights during this period are planned within Russia — about 85.5%. A year ago, the share of domestic flight bookings for the May holidays was almost 95%. Approximately every tenth ticket (9%) is issued to neighboring countries. Non-CIS countries and Europe account for 4.5% and 1% of independent air travelers, respectively— noted in the press service of the service.
For a ticket inside Russia, they pay an average of 15,373 rubles round-trip, to neighboring countries — 28,743 rubles round-trip, to non-CIS countries — 59,856 rubles round-trip, to Europe — 82,228 rubles round-trip.
Most air tickets are issued to Moscow (13.4%), Sochi (12.1%), St. Petersburg (12.0%), Kaliningrad (6.6%) and Mineralnye Vody (5.8%).
At the same time, the Moscow-Kaliningrad route was in the first place in the list of specific destinations. In 2022, he was in second place, and now bypasses the leader of last year — the Moscow-Sochi direction. For a ticket between Moscow and Kaliningrad, they pay an average of 11,664 rubles round-trip, and between Moscow and Sochi — 15,540 rubles round-trip. Tutu analysts note that Sochi and Kaliningrad are also popular with passengers from St. Petersburg. They pay an average of 16,592 rubles round-trip for tickets to Sochi, and 13,068 rubles round-trip to Kaliningrad.
In addition, travelers from Moscow for the May holidays are in demand for flights to Mineralnye Vody, St. Petersburg, Makhachkala and Yekaterinburg. And for travelers from St. Petersburg — to Moscow, Kazan, Mineralnye Vody.
Of the foreign destinations among independent travelers, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Belarus are now the most popular.
