In Simferopol, a 21-year-old young man became a victim of scammers, believing in promises of a romantic date. A Simferopol resident told the police that while communicating with a stranger via messenger, he fell for a trick. Under the pretext of booking an exclusive room in a hookah bar, where their first date was to take place, he transferred 26 thousand rubles. However, the victim never saw the girl, the booked room, or, moreover, the refund.
The investigator of the police department No. 1 “Zheleznodorozhny” of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”. The police are taking all necessary operational and investigative measures to identify the perpetrator.

- Take care of your personal data: never give your passport details, bank card numbers, SMS codes or other confidential information to strangers.
