The Evpatoria City Court of the Republic of Crimea considered a criminal case against a former police officer of a separate company of the PPS of the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Evpatoria.
During the consideration of the case, it was established that the man, being an official, committed actions that clearly went beyond his powers. Namely, in January 2022 a man was brought to the duty unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Evpatoria for committing an administrative offense. In the process of processing the necessary documents, the man brought to the duty station refused to undergo a medical examination for alcohol intoxication and fingerprinting, after which the policeman took him out into the corridor and struck several blows to various parts of the body. At the hearing, the defendant pleaded not guilty , the press service of the court reported.
After examining the evidence collected in the case, the court found the defendant guilty of committing a crime under Art. the right to hold positions related to the exercise of the functions of a representative of power, organizational and administrative functions in state bodies, for a period of 2 years, with serving in a correctional colony of general regime.
The verdict has not entered into force.
