Fresh tomatoes and “borscht set” have fallen in price in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Specialists from the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Markets noted a downward trend in the cost of fresh tomatoes, white cabbage, onions and carrots. A slight increase in prices was recorded for chilled and frozen chicken, as well as beets.

The department also noted that inventories in the city’s consumer market are maintained in sufficient quantities. Trade enterprises operate without interruption.

To provide the population with socially important essential food products at economically justified prices, a Memorandum of Understanding has been extended between the City Government and regional retail chains, which helps prevent unreasonable increases in retail prices for socially important goods.

According to the head of the consumer market department of the department, Ksenia Kazandzhieva, specialists are working to join new retail chains to the Memorandum and expand the list of goods.

Let us remind you that the participants of the Memorandum of Understanding are such regional retail chains as “Yabloko”, “Fresh”, “Leader”, “PUD”, “Wild Honey”, “5M Gourmet”, “4M”, “7M Without Prices”, “BOOM”, “Uyutstroy”. In total there are 122 trade objects.

The department conducted a raid at the PUD retail chain on Fadeeva Street, 1a.

In PUD supermarkets, the terms of the Memorandum are fulfilled in good faith. There is a full list of products in stock, each of which is highlighted with a light blue price tag. In the “Buyer’s Corner” there is a list of goods according to the Memorandum, also highlighted in bright light blue. This requirement is mandatory for all retail chains participating in the Memorandum.,” commented Ksenia Kazandzhieva.
