From February 1, the Russian government approved the indexation of a number of payments and benefits. This is reported in the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation, according to which a number of social benefits will be indexed by ,9%. Indexation will affect benefits for families with children, guarantees for Heroes of the USSR and Russia and other categories of citizens.

Establish from February 1 2023 the indexation coefficient of 1, 119 for payments, benefits and compensations , says the document.

The list of indexed benefits also includes insurance payments, benefits for the disabled, Chernobyl victims and veterans, citizens awarded the highest state awards (for example, Heroes of Russia).

Earlier, the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation reported that the increase would affect a number of payments: a one-time allowance for the birth of a child, a monthly allowance for child care, maternity capital, a monthly cash payment to veterans, a monthly insurance payment and other social support measures.

In particular, maternity capital from February 1 will be increased to 587 thousand rubles. for the first child and , 6 thousand rubles. on the second. The indexation coefficient for payments is set annually from February 1, last year it was 8.6%.
