The Simferopol police received a message from the administration of one of the clothing stores located in the shopping center that an unknown person secretly, through free access, stole a women’s tracksuit worth about 7 thousand rubles.
As a result of operational-search activities, the detectives of the criminal investigation department on suspicion of committing a crime detained a 23-year-old resident of the Razdolnensky district of Crimea. The suspect fully admitted his guilt, and explained that he went into the store and stole a women’s sports suit, but later, being afraid of responsibility, threw it into the trash. The investigator initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft, that is, the secret theft of someone else’s property, committed by prior agreement by a group of persons) , the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea reported.
The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to five years.
