She also clarified that wet snow is falling on Karabi-yayla, but there it will melt faster.
According to Lyubetskaya, frosty weather in the mountains will last until April 11. Conditions for precipitation also remain during this period.
The main amount of precipitation will fall on Tuesday and Wednesday, and by Thursday their intensity will weaken, but since the air temperature will be negative, the snow in the mountains should not melt, despite the warm soil, — the head of the regional hydrometeorological center clarified, adding that frost will only be in the mountains; positive temperature values will remain in the rest of the peninsula.
The day before, the Republican Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, citing weather forecasters, reported that in Crimea in the coming days heavy rainsin the mountains — with wet snow, as well as increased wind up to 22 meters per second.
Earlier, the director of the research and production company “Water Technologies” Anatoly Kopachevsky and the head of the department of chemical technologies of water use of the Institute of Biochemical Technologies and Ecology of the Vernadsky Kazan Federal University, Professor Ilya Nikolenko said that the Crimean reservoirs have natural flow accumulated 166 million cubic meters of waterwhile March inflows were small, but stocks will be replenished further as the weather cooperates.
The largest influx of water is Crimean reservoirs received in January. The volume of water received was greater than for the entire last year, the Minister of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic Zakhar Shcheglenko previously reported.
